A brass silver plated and shagreen pocket lighter made by the best known luxury retailer of smoking accessories; Dunhill.  Alfred Dunhill took over his father's saddlery business in London, Henry's, and turned it into one of the finest destinations for accessories for the modern gentleman.   Initially developing a unique line of motoring accessories, because this mode of transport was rapidly developing, he later went on to make pipes, lighters and anything else the modern gentleman traveller would need.

This is a petrol model lighter made in England .  The lighter is in original and worn condition, but retains a charming patina.  The shagreen is in excellent original condition, and has not been replaced.  This piece is complete with the original box and pamphlet.
