DATE: Vintage, c.1960

A charming gold plated copper vintage pendant dating from the 1960's. The front depicts a quill pen and paper, with the words "Les Paroles S'envolent Les Ecrits Restent" translating to Words Disappear, Writings Remain, which could be looked at in a number of different ways... 'Spoken, forgotten; written, eternal' or 'Once spoken, gone; Once written, forever'. Quite a nice sentiment and maybe a reminder to us all. "Voeux Les Plus Vifs" is on the reverse, which translates to 'Warmest Wishes'. Dates from the 1960's.
